Lead Data Platforms Engineer

Salary: $65,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• We require 7+ years of experience in data and/or software engineering, including at least 4 years focused on backend distributed systems or data infrastructure at scale.
• We are looking for advanced Python and SQL expertise, with 4+ years of hands-on experience.
• We need strong, production-level experience with Snowflake, including Snowpipe, SnowSQL, replication, and data sharing.
• We require experience with Airflow and Power BI for enterprise data solutions.
• We need deep knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, VPC, Glue, S3, SFTP, Lambda, CloudWatch, and SNS, along with GitLab CI/CD and DataDog monitoring and alerting.
• We require experience building real-time ETL/ELT and big data pipelines, especially with Kafka, Workato, ADF, Matillion, DBT, and similar tools.
• We are looking for proven experience implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cross-functional engineering practices.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, as well as attribute-based data security, is needed.
• Snowflake administration experience is preferred.
• Experience with data governance, including data quality, metadata management, data security, and data archiving, is preferred.
• We need strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with a focus on business insight.
• We value excellent communication skills for explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• We need a collaborative team player who works effectively across functions.
• We are looking for someone who adapts quickly, learns new technologies proactively, and manages multiple priorities with strong time management.

• We will rely on you to modernize, integrate, and optimize our foundational data ecosystem.
• You will design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient data cloud platforms that support collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large data volumes.
• You will assess, architect, and maintain data pipelines that help our teams work with data efficiently and effectively.
• You will develop and deploy production-grade data solutions on Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable platforms.
• You will design and improve ETL/ELT workflows and data transformations to support advanced analytics and real-time processing.
• You will implement dimensional models and data products that improve data accuracy, accessibility, reporting, and visualization.
• You will create and sustain data engineering frameworks that enable machine learning workflows and complex analytical use cases.
• You will communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
