Mesilla Valley Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Recreational Art/ Music Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! Mesilla Valley Hospital has been in operation since 1987, serving those in need of treatment for a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. MVH is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Recreational Art/ Music Therapist is an internal member of the interdisciplinary team who leads and participates in the assessment, treatment plan developmental and implementation of therapeutic group interventions. The Therapist will work with assigned patients in group setting as per the patient's MTP and ensure therapeutic interventions provided aid to their Mental health and substance abuse recovery.

Qualifications

• Experience/Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and possess CTSR (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) or an Art or Music Therapy Certification.
• Skills: Must have strong group facilitation skills and have knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
