Shift Leader

Position Overview Shift Leader responsibilities and expectations for store leadership and direction in partnership with General Manager or Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader ensures the team has clear understandings of goals, expectations, product knowledge, cleanliness, new directives, and guest connections during the shift. Core Responsibilities Demonstrate mastery of the DOING of Team Member with ease, enthusiasm, and excellence. Lead shifts focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction while making fun happen. Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management. Show a “total store vision” to take ownership of the look and feel of the store. Know the daily deployment and roles & responsibilities. Leverage effective communication on the floor during the shift. Identify and address team and guest needs before they become problematic. Manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate and delegate objectives and tasks. Take ownership beyond the current shift, preparing for the next shift. Ensure the team executes SOP and quality standards correctly and consistently. Provide active coaching and feedback to Team Members to bring their best DOING and BEING. Train team on role responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotional items. Perform administrative tasks with integrity, including bank deposits, inventory, store product orders and others as assigned. Develop team members and discuss career and professional growth. Skills and Qualifications At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience required; or approved to act as a Shift Leader. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work at least one of: early mornings, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends. Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements The position requires hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, and ability to accomplish these with or without reasonable accommodations. Compensation Compensation Range: $12.75 - $21.25 per hour. Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
