Duties include scheduling surgery, pre-authorization for surgical and office procedures, payment posting, charge entry and entry of patient demographics. Efficiently provides quotes for cosmetic procedures. Tracks pre-admission testing results insuring they have been received in a timely manner according to office protocol. Manage doctors' surgery schedule to include coordinating surgeries with other doctors' offices. Answering phones and triaging patient phone calls for severity/importance Posses and understand HMO's, Managed Care and Third Party regulations as they apply to a specialty practice. Verification of benefits pertaining to upcoming surgeries Obtains pre-certifications and addresses all billing inquires.
