Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in Covina, California for the 2026-2027 school year . This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing evaluations, therapy services, and support to students in an educational setting.

Position Details

• Location: Covina, CA

• Pay: Up to $75.00 per hour

• Schedule: 35 hours per week

• Contract Length: 1 School Year

• Start Date: September 7, 2026

• Setting: School-Based

• Caseload: Assessment Team

• Duration: Through February 2027

• Client Interview Required

Responsibilities

• Conduct student speech and language evaluations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide direct therapy services

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Ensure compliance with all school, state, and federal regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of California

• CCC-SLP preferred and may be required by contract

• Current CPR certification if applicable

• TB clearance as required

• Current health certificate if applicable

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Commitment to professional standards of practice

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
