Position Details

• 3 provider group looking to replace relocating Neurosurgeon
• 6 Advanced Practice Providers
• 5 APPs participate in call rotation & typically take first call
• Employed position
• 40% outpatient and 60% operating room / inpatient mix
• Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students
• Collegial and supportive practice environment
• Target patient load average of 20-30 patients per day in clinic, two days per week
• 10-20 surgical cases per week
• One clinic per week at an outreach location
• Call 1:3
• Level II Trauma Center
• Outpatient office embedded in the hospital
• EMR and software assisted triage system to improve surgical yield
• Staffed with 1 RN, 1 LPN, 7 C/MAs & 7 clerical
• Outreach clinic locations in Escanaba, Ishpeming, Hancock, Iron Mountain, Manistique, Newberry
• Embedded in the Brain and Spine Center which also includes Neurology, Physiatry, Interventional Pain, Neurophysiology and Neuro/Health Psychology.
