Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education Teacher – Self-Contained Classroom

Phoenix, AZ
2026–2027 School Year
Full-Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week | Monday–Friday

ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for multiple self-contained classroom openings for the upcoming school year in Phoenix, Arizona.

Position Details

• 3 Self-Contained Openings
• School Year: July 20, 2026 – May 21, 2027
• FT 37.5 hours per week
• Monday–Friday

Caseload InformationSelf-Contained Openings

• Caseload size: approximately 10–13 students
• 1 opening serving K–6 students (mixed middle age ranges)
• 2 openings serving either:
  • K–2 students, or
  • 3rd–5th grade students
• Classroom support includes:
  • 1 Teacher
  • 2 Classroom Assistants

Qualifications

• Arizona Mild/Moderate K–12 Special Education License required
• Moderate/Severe certification will also be accepted
• Previous self-contained classroom experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Pay

• Hourly pay of $35-40 depending on licensure/credentialing, experience, and caseload

• Develop and implement IEPs
• Provide specialized instruction based on student needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with state and district documentation requirements
