Vision Center Manager NL 1

Position Summary Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Responsibilities Models and enforces direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer/Member service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer/Member needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees implementation of and participation in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as good members of the community. Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and conducting safety operational and quality assurance reviews. Develops and executes action plans to improve performance and directs Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information and accurate documentation. Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset. Secures quality eyewear provision by consulting, educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds the Company Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments, develops and maintains stakeholder relationships, supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, sets goals and objectives, and measures progress. Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
