Design Engineer II

Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking a Design Engineer II in Central Coast, CA to support and grow commercial mechanical operations across the region.
- Design HVAC systems that are efficient, code compliant, and constructible.
- Reduce RFIs through tight coordination with the field and BIM team.
- Mentor junior engineers and drafters.
- Support sales and estimating with sound technical solutions. Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC, hydronic, and ventilation systems for commercial buildings.
- Perform load calculations and equipment selections.
- Develop drawings and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural disciplines.
- Review submittals and respond to field RFIs.
- Support commissioning and startup.
- Mentor junior engineers and drafters.
- Maintain compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, and local codes. Compensation and Logistics:
