Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a waterfront engineer job in Stratford, CT.  This permanent hire job is available with one of our key customers in coastal engineering services. In this role, you will be responsible for various projects, including, but not limited to, field inspection, analysis, design, and preparation of plans and technical specifications for waterfront structures and shoreline improvements. To be successful in this position, you must have a background in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, and/or Coastal Engineering. Preference will be given to someone with waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation; AutoCAD experience.

Key responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:

• Performs tasks on projects requiring a broad and/or deep knowledge in the field of waterfront engineering.
• Implements design best practices in areas of expertise, in addition, ensures conformance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Performs and reviews analysis and design calculations, prepares plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Prepares construction documents including drawings and technical specifications.
• Performs/oversees construction administration activities.
• Work independently under Project Manager's guidance and within RACE's standard practices.

Qualifications & Sk ills Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and/or Coastal Engineering.
• Professional Engineer Registration or ability to obtain.
• 5-1O years related project-based engineering experience with an emphasis on waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Proficient in engineering modeling software relative to area of expertise.
