Senior Tax Manager My Client is a multi-disciplinary accounting and business advisory firm headquartered in Albany, serving the needs of closely held companies, family-owned businesses, not-for-profit and governmental entities, and high-net worth individuals. My client offers a broad portfolio of accounting and auditing, tax, consulting, outsourced accounting, talent strategy and marketing services, as well as valuations, forensic accounting, and litigation support. We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join the management team and lead a variety of tax compliance and consulting services for a diverse client base. This role involves managing multiple tax service engagements, including scheduling, budgeting, review, staff supervision, technical instruction, staff development, and client interaction. Key responsibilities include tax research, engagement administration, and identifying opportunities for new or expanded services. Responsibilities Act as a dedicated and collaborative business advisor and client advocate, understanding and prioritizing client needs. Identify and communicate client issues and opportunities, explaining technical matters in a clear, non-technical manner. Lead engagements, maintaining high-quality relationships and delivering exceptional tax services. Motivate, supervise, and provide timely feedback to team members. Review tax returns and work papers, formulate conclusions aligned with firm policies and professional standards, and determine the best course of action for clients. Conduct tax research, draft tax memoranda, and effectively communicate findings to clients. Requirements A passion for helping clients with their needs. Ability to serve clients in both consulting and compliance. Strong technical expertise in tax matters. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and making timely decisions. Ability to organize facts, analyze, and interpret information/research. Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA license is required.
