Microbiology Lead - Medical Lab Scientist

Microbiology - Medical Lab Scientist Lead Full-Time / Competitive Pay / Sign-On Bonus Key Responsibilities :

- Oversee daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Supervise and mentor staff to maintain a high level of expertise and professionalism.
- Perform advanced testing and analysis of blood samples, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Manage inventory of blood products and supplies, ensuring availability for patient care needs.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs for the blood bank.
- Collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to support patient care initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and reports in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- ASCP (MLS) or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on blood banking experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Expertise in blood banking procedures and standards.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- BLS certification (must be completed prior to start).
