Respiratory Care Practitioner

Respiratory TherapistThis position is one of performing Respiratory Therapy modalities in a progressive health care environment. On a day-to-day basis, the therapist will often have to perform technical procedures on complex life support systems, and make on the spot decisions that affect patient care in a wide variety of settings from neonatal to geriatric. The therapist also has the responsibility for assuring that all prescribed therapy is performed with quality.EducationHS DiplomaGraduate from an accredited school of Respiratory TherapyCertification & LicensureRCP-Respiratory Care PractitionerBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderActive membership in the A.A.RC. (American Association for Respiratory Care) recommended.Active membership in the C.S.R.C.
