Separation Finance Analyst

Insight Global is currently hiring an FP&A Strategy Analyst for a large healthcare client. This role will be a 5 month contract to start but could have the opportunity for extension based on workload and performance! The ideal candidate will be local to Richmond or live within an hour radius (in office work might be needed occasionally) but the client may also consider fully remote for the right candidate! This person will be working Monday through Friday during standard work hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or other advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or related financial functions.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformations, business separations, carve-outs, integrations, or enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial planning processes.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Experience developing executive-level presentations, reports, and communications for senior leadership preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, JDE, Hyperion, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and track separation-related financial activities, including TSA costs, one-time expenses, transformation investments, and other program-related costs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting processes to ensure visibility and accountability across separation initiatives.
• Develop financial analyses, executive-level reporting, and actionable insights to support decision-making and value realization efforts.
• Partner with FP&A, program teams, and business stakeholders to establish future-state budgets and evaluate cost optimization opportunities.
• Build financial models, business cases, and cost trade-off scenarios to support strategic planning and NewCo readiness.
• Help design and implement future-state financial governance processes, controls, approval workflows, and reporting cadences.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, automation, and AI-enabled efficiencies across finance operations.
• Prepare executive presentations, leadership updates, and decision-support materials for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
