Human Resources (HR) Assistant - Manufacturing

You will balance traditional administrative HR duties—like onboarding, compliance, and file management—with active visibility on the production floor.

Office Hours

Monday - Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate the new hire process, conduct HR orientations for production staff, and ensure all I-9 and pre-employment screenings (background checks/drug screens) are complete.
• Frontline Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, attendance points, paid time off (PTO), and basic benefits questions.
• Timekeeping & Payroll Support: Partner with floor supervisors to review daily shift logs, track attendance, manage the time-clock system, and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous electronic and physical personnel files. Ensure compliance with OSHA record-keeping, FMLA documentation, and plant safety protocols.

Qualification

What We Are Looking For

Experience

1–2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR role within a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment .

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business is a plus.

Tech Skills

Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and prior experience using an HRIS or time-tracking software (e.g., Sage HRMS).

Discretion

Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with absolute integrity.

Communication

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to connect easily with both line workers and upper management.
