Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Geriatrics and Gerontology

Position Overview The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical in the clinical track. The faculty member will provide direct patient medical care to adult patients on geriatric services, participate in medical education at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to research and scholarly activities. Responsibilities Consultation for hospitalized patients on any service and outpatient clinical ambulatory setting. Participate in quality improvement activities and committee work. Involve in medical student, resident, and fellow education. Assist in developing the Geriatric UHT service line. Pursue independent academic projects such as research. Lead an educational or administrative project within the Division of Geriatric Medicine. Qualifications Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Board Certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine. Earned degree of M.D. or D.O. from an ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency. Valid and unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply. Completion of the ACGME‑accredited training program in Geriatrics. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements. Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients, meeting institutional standards of care. Job Status Full time. Faculty – UMMG.
