Description

American Traveler is hiring a part-time night shift ICU RN with prior travel experience and at least 2 years of recent ICU experience, requiring willingness to float between hospital campuses.

Details

• Part-time position in the ICU
• Night shift schedule, 2x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Typical staffing ratio is 3:1
• Must be willing to float to other campus ICU units (Bucyrus & Galion) if census drops
• On-call requirement with a 1-hour return-to-facility expectation if called in

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive ICU experience in a hospital/acute care setting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with medication scanning required
• Epic experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, arterial and central line care
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Respiratory/thoracic skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the ICU across multiple hospital campuses as needed
• Facility is smoke-free
• Time off requests must be submitted at time of consideration, limited to no more than 7 days, and major holidays are excluded
• If scheduled to work during requested time off, traveler must arrange coverage
• Missed shifts must be made up
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before reapplying
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
