Responsibilities Responsible for patient care by performing dental hygiene clinical functions, preventive maintenance, and patient education in a professional and courteous manner, while maintaining infection control, following OSHA guidelines, and observing South Carolina state laws and codes with regards to performing dental hygiene. Performing dental prophylaxis, probings, scaling, and root planing and teeth whitening. Conducting patient screenings, oral cancer checks, and taking medical histories. Educating patients on optimal oral hygiene techniques and the link between oral health and overall wellness. Reappointment of patients next visit. Clinical documentation maintenance. Make sure the necessary x-rays & Intra-oral pictures were taken: 4bwx/2 PAs. Make sure good quality intraoral photos were taken.
