Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Industrial Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD.As an Industrial Engineer, you will be assigned to a manufacturing cell and paired with an experienced lead Industrial Engineer (IE) with the expectation of quickly gaining the skills to either take over the lead role or to take over a single IE manufacturing cell. You will work closely with the manufacturing leadership team in efforts to achieve the following:Monitor labor performance and develop plans for improvementMonitor capital resource loading and develop plans for capacity managementCoordinate facility capital plan executionDefine and document process designs (product routings)Use and maintain models for standard work assignmentLead Continuous Improvement activities (e.g. 5-S, VSM, 6-Sigma)May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measuresMay manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with 2 years of experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing Engineering; Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing EngineeringAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security ClearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security ClearanceDegree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical EngineeringAn advanced degree (MS)Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemExperience in defense, aerospace, or automotive industriesTechnical experience working in a manufacturing/production environmentNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
