Carthage Area Hospital Location: Carthage, NY Job Title CAH‑Lab‑Medical Technologist – Full Time Primary Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., varying shifts as needed Full Time, day shift, variable Posted: 02/24/2026 Req # 9264 Salary Pay Range: $39.66 – $45.57*+ (sign on eligible) + This rate does not include evening shift differential of $3 or overnight shift differential of $3.50. Responsibilities Candidate responsible for accurate and precise performance of assigned laboratory procedures, reporting results to the proper physician or medical record in a timely basis. Responsible for maintaining the laboratory workplace, including equipment and records in good working order, and maintaining a positive image of the laboratory and hospital to patients, community, and co-workers. Assists in researching, testing, and briefing in‑house new procedures or methodologies. Follows hospital and laboratory policies. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards within section. Assists in training employees. Obtains patient blood from inpatients and outpatients as required. Assists in processing paperwork and filing as needed. Qualifications As specified by the New York State Department of Health code. MT registry by ASCP or equivalent preferred. Must possess knowledge of age‑specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to laboratory procedures.
