Senior Paralegal – Mass Tort Litigation Our client a collaborative close-knit small midsized law firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join their team. The Senior Paralegal is responsible for managing a high-volume mass tort caseload while also supporting team development, training, and operational oversight within the department. This role combines hands‑on litigation support with mentorship responsibilities and works closely with attorneys, legal assistants, junior paralegals, and department leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑volume plaintiffs’ litigation environment. Strong communication, leadership, and time‑management skills are essential, as this role works closely with attorneys, legal assistants, junior paralegals, and department leadership. Responsibilities Manage and track mass tort cases, deadlines, and case files. Draft and serve discovery, pleadings, and client communications. Assist attorneys with depositions, hearings, and court preparation. Maintain accurate reporting and quality control through Litify and related systems. Lead case team meetings and ensure compliance with firm procedures and workflows. Mentor and support legal assistants and junior paralegals. Assist with onboarding, training, staffing recommendations, and team evaluations. Communicate proactively with clients, attorneys, and team members regarding case status and next steps. Help develop case criteria, reporting processes, and matter management systems. Qualifications Prior paralegal experience in a plaintiffs’ law firm required. Experience handling high-volume litigation matters. Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills. Experience filing in Illinois state and federal courts. Familiarity with litigation drafting, discovery, and legal case management systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
