Company Description Chicago Counseling Center is an outpatient therapy practice dedicated to providing compassionate, ethical, and specialized care for individuals struggling with OCD, complex anxiety, trauma, and related disorders. Since 2012, our team of expert clinicians utilizes evidence-based treatments to empower clients on their journey toward healing and personal growth. This year, in 2026, we expanded our services to Buffalo Grove, where we can provide quality evidenced-based care that is accessible to those Chicago’s north suburbs. Role Description The Therapist will provide direct clinical services, including intake assessments and individual psychotherapy to clients in Buffalo Grove, IL. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers, and participating in case consultation or supervision as needed. The role involves using evidence-based interventions, monitoring client progress, and adapting treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with primary work based in Buffalo Grove, IL and some work-from-home flexibility for telehealth sessions and related administrative tasks. Applicants with interest in working with couples and families will be given special consideration. Qualifications/Job Requirements Interest in working with OCD and anxiety disorders is required, as this is the specialty of the practice Clinical skills in conducting mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and/or couples and family therapy. Strong ability in building therapeutic rapport, maintaining professional boundaries, and practicing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Proficiency in maintaining clinical documentation, using electronic health records, and adhering to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards. Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work with clients, colleagues, and community partners. Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; current or eligible licensure in Illinois (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent). Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or similar settings; comfort with telehealth platforms and hybrid work arrangements. Commitment to continuing education, supervision/consultation participation, and staying current with evidence-based practices. Clinicians with full licensure and an existing caseload are strongly preferred. Experience and willingness to work with children is strongly preferred. Ability to work up to and maintain a caseload of 25+ client sessions per week. Competitive compensation with split percentage of insurance reimbursement/private pay.
