Role Description The Universal Banker is a full-time, on-site role based in Durham, NC, responsible for delivering a wide range of branch banking services. Daily tasks include assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions, accurately handling cash, and responding to account inquiries. The role also involves opening and maintaining accounts, supporting consumer and small business loan processes, and providing information on bank products and services. Universal Bankers are expected to build strong customer relationships, resolve issues promptly, and promote appropriate financial solutions that align with customer needs. The position requires adherence to bank policies, security procedures, and regulatory guidelines while contributing to a positive, team-oriented branch environment. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in deposits, withdrawals, and general transaction processing Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building relationships and resolving inquiries Accurate cash handling experience and attention to detail in balancing tills and transactions Foundational knowledge of loans, including basic loan products and application support Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues Prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or a customer-facing role preferred Comfort with basic computer systems and banking software; ability to learn new tools quickly High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in finance or business are a plus Ability to work on-site in Durham, NC, including standard branch hours and occasional Saturdays if needed Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with banking regulations #J-18808-Ljbffr M&F Bank NC
