Software Engineer ManagerAt Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a department or group within the company.Primary ResponsibilitiesManages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibilityDevelops technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for areas of responsibilityCreates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit complianceApplies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsEvaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfacesSupports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processesPartners across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cyber security, effectively mitigating risk to levels within the company's risk appetiteEnsures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, and/or servicesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor's degree in a related fieldSix (6) years of relevant experienceExperience as a team leaderPreferencesExperience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industrySkills and CompetenciesAbility to manage multiple projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skillsStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of and ability to interpret applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidanceAdditional job detail for this specific opportunityThe Software Engineer Manager position will be responsible for managing at least 2 Fraud AD Agile teams, and also be able to provide technical guidance to the teams regarding design, technology standards and guidelinesPrevious experience managing teams is strongly preferredAbility to work closely with Business Stakeholders, Scrum Master, POs, and Architects to fully understand the business requirements and help the Dev teams to transform requests into technical requirements needed to deliver features/workAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment and strong organization and communication skillsLead intake and prioritization of development work aligned to business/technology goalsOwn product lifecycle and delivery for enterprise software platformsProvide status reporting on key initiatives, timelines, and team productivityAbility to work in an environment with aggressive timelinesAbility to coach, teach, and mentor teamsExcellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skillsPreferred knowledge of Financial Crime Unit (FCU) processes such as fraud detection, AML, KYC, and transaction monitoringAdditional Preferred ExperienceNET Full Stack (MVC, ASP.NET,.NET Core, .NET Framework)Understanding of WCF and SOAP-based communicationExperience with ReactSolid understanding of Git branching strategiesExperience with Harness CI/CD PipelinesExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenshiftExperience with IBM MQExperience with HangfireExperience with AWSExperience with Kafka/Confluent KafkaExperience with Metrics & Monitoring Tools – Splunk, Prometheus, GrafanaSAFe/Agile MethodologyPython/PySpark experience is a plusExperience with Test AutomationRegions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
