Bus Driver

Hours: 25-35 hours per week. Days/times: TBD - may vary as needed.

Qualifications/Training/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule.
• Valid CDL w/ bus driver endorsement - may include driving district van when needed.
• Medical certificate, DOT and skills test as required by the State of Michigan.
• Good driving record.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
• Knowledge and awareness of one's own cultural identity and how this influences behavior and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
• Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
• Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
