HVAC Test Technician - 1st Shift

Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Plymouth, MNShift Hours:1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday – FridayYour Responsibilities:Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times.Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams.Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications.Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements.Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures.Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis.Implement corrective and preventative actions.Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities.Provide direction, assistance and training to other technicians (senior roles only).Your Qualifications:Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experienceExperience related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred)Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, or R410a card (preferred)Mentorship experience (preferred)Your Benefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributionsCompany provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverageShort-term and long-term disability3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company-paid holidaysVacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state, and local law requires a faster accrualPaid sick time in accordance of the federal, state and local lawPaid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceThe employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
