Senior Tax Manager

Responsibilities
- Review complex Federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, non-profit organizations, and pass-through entities
- Review gift tax returns
- Review quarterly and year-end tax projections
- Review tax workpapers
- Communicate directly with clients via phone and email to request information
- Research Federal, state, and cross-border tax issues
- Strategize with partners and engagement teams on tax planning
- Mentor, train, and supervise staff
- Manage deadlines and client work, bill clients, and collect outstanding receivables
Requirements
- CPA license
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Currently working at a CPA firm
- Tax review experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Taxation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High Net Worth client experience (required for Garden City)
Nice to Have
- Recent or current High Net Worth and/or Family Office client experience
- Managerial experience with staff and clients
- Proficiency with GoSystem Tax RS
