Laundry Officer

Laundry Officer (26141332) Montana Correctional Enterprises (MCE), a division of the Montana Department of Corrections, seeks a Laundry Officer for operations at Montana State Prison, Deer Lodge. Responsibilities Managing the daily operations of the Association of Linen Management (ALM) commercial laundry training program—delivering industry‑recognized training to inmates and overseeing all aspects of laundry production in a high‑security environment. Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and sanitation requirements; directing and coordinating inmate work activities; monitoring equipment and production standards; maintaining accurate records and inventories. Managing workflow, production schedules, and operational priorities to meet program and customer needs; providing customer service to internal clients; interpreting job orders; conducting equipment and safety training; and performing personnel functions related to inmate worker placement, performance, and discipline. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of experience directing the work of others, or completion of directly related vocational education. Thorough knowledge of commercial laundry operation theory, equipment, and management. Working knowledge and operation of current laundry equipment. Endorsements, certifications, or training in commercial laundry preferred. Other applicable training and/or certification considered. Compensation and Work Details Hourly wage: $26.55 – $28.04. Telework: Not eligible. Job type: Standard. Shift: Day. Travel: Yes, 5% of the time. Employment status: Regular full‑time.
