Job Description

This role provides janitorial and custodial support in an industrial and office environment, focusing on cleaning common areas and offices within a large facility. You will work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule on either a 12-hour day shift or night shift, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all building occupants while operating within designated areas of the site.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas and offices in designated buildings, ensuring all spaces remain tidy, sanitary, and presentable.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces in offices, hallways, and shared spaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and fixtures, and restock supplies as needed.
• Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in warehouse areas, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing debris to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables from offices, common areas, and warehouse spaces.
• Operate a golf cart to travel safely and efficiently between buildings and work areas within the site.
• Follow all safety procedures and site-specific guidelines while using cleaning equipment, chemicals, and transportation vehicles.
• Inspect assigned areas regularly and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate contact.
• Work collaboratively with other janitorial and facility staff to ensure all scheduled cleaning tasks are completed on time.
• Adhere to the assigned 2-2-3 schedule and 12-hour shifts, maintaining reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Experience performing general labor tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, and mopping in a custodial or janitorial setting.
• Ability to carry out industrial cleaning duties in warehouse environments, including working around large open spaces and equipment.
• Familiarity with janitorial and custodial practices, including safe use of cleaning tools and materials.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required for cleaning duties.
• Valid driver’s license to safely operate a golf cart for transportation around the site.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including both weekdays and weekends as assigned.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Reliable, self-motivated work style with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfort working in both office and warehouse environments.
• Willingness to learn site-specific cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers regarding tasks, issues, and safety concerns.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large facility that includes both office buildings and warehouse areas. You will primarily clean common areas and offices in two buildings while also performing industrial cleaning tasks in warehouse spaces. The work requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout 12-hour shifts. You will operate a golf cart to move between buildings and work zones, following all site safety rules. The schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including weekdays and weekends depending on rotation. The environment may include varying temperatures in warehouse areas and standard office conditions in administrative spaces. You will use typical janitorial tools and supplies such as mops, brooms, cleaning solutions, and waste receptacles while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, GA.

The pay range for this position is $15.68 - $15.68/hr.
