Wire Harness Technician

Responsibilities Support the manufacturing and assembly of wire harnesses by following engineering drawings, work instructions, and established quality standards. Assist senior technicians with production tasks, including cutting, stripping, labeling, and bundling wires to precise specifications. Prepare connectors, terminals, and other components for assembly to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy. Utilize hand tools and equipment to assist in crimping and terminating wires, ensuring proper connections and adherence to technical requirements. Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies to verify workmanship, identify defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Assist in performing continuity checks and basic electrical testing to confirm functionality, while supporting rework and troubleshooting efforts as needed. Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations by adhering to company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of materials and tools. Support kitting processes, material handling, and inventory organization to ensure all necessary components are readily available for production. Follow detailed documentation, schematics, and production schedules to meet deadlines and maintain consistent output quality. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report defects, material shortages, or process issues promptly. Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on productivity, safety, and continuous improvement. Comply with ITAR regulations and company policies in handling controlled materials and sensitive project requirements.
