• Join staff of 6 full-time Board-Certified Intensivists and 2 full time physician assistants.
• Candidates must possess superior clinical and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to participate in program development, research and medical education.
• Candidates ideally should have 5 years post fellowship experience, but recent fellowship graduates will be considered. Additionally, experience and/or interest in pediatric quality and safety leadership is desired.
• The 14 bed PICU provides a comprehensive range of pediatric critical care services including the care of complex medical patients, pediatric trauma patients and cardiovascular surgery patients.
• They average 850 admissions to the PICU per year. In addition, pediatric intensivists and hospitalists run a highly successful sedation service performing over 800 sedations per year.
• National collaborative data (Virtual PICU Systems, pediatric trauma quality improvement program have demonstrated our PICU provides exceptional care with outcomes consistently in the top 10% of comparable children's hospitals.
• They also maintain a collaborative affiliation with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and utilize their expertise for children requiring quaternary services.
