Lawn Care Technician

Full-time Lawn Care Technician Position Location: Weed Man Lawn Care, Winchester, VA 22602 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hours per day (including some Saturdays during peak season). Saturdays used as make-up days; peak season may require additional Saturdays. Pay: $19–$25 per hour (production + hourly & commission). Year-round, full-time opportunities with marketing and lead generation in off season. Benefits Paid time off Paid holidays Responsibilities Market and occasionally quote products and services to potential customers. Distribute promotional material. Meet with current and prospective customers and exceed customer service standards. Provide professional lawn care services, including applications of fertilizer, lime, weed, insect, disease, grub, mole, and mosquito control, aeration, and seeding. Safely handle, mix, transport and apply chemical products. Perform lawn analyses, including measuring turf, identifying lawn problems, and determining accurate pricing for services. Generate field sales (additional commission rewarded). Observe and report lawn conditions to customers and sell add-on services. Obtain and maintain pesticide applicator license (company will assist). Drive company vehicles and complete daily truck checkout procedures. Properly and safely maintain equipment. Complete assigned daily work, associated paperwork, and administrative requirements. Communicate clearly with team and supervisor. Qualifications 21 years of age or older. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Clean criminal record. Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility. Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, including some Saturdays during peak season. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Can work in various weather conditions. Adherence to company policies (drug, alcohol, tobacco, cell phone, attendance, etc.). Clear verbal and written communication skills. Self‑motivated and proactive.
