Position Summary

The Vice President Finance, reporting to the CEO of North America, is a key member of the North America Leadership Team responsible for leading all finance functions at igus Inc., including accounting, tax, compliance, audit, business analytics, data governance, treasury, and contract review. This role provides strategic financial leadership, business insight, risk management, and operational support to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term organizational success.

As a trusted advisor to the President & CEO and Leadership Team, the Vice President Finance translates financial and operational data into actionable business strategies, supports investment and capital allocation decisions, strengthens governance and internal controls, and fosters a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the President & CEO and Leadership Team.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
• Evaluate business opportunities, investments, capital allocation decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with functional leaders across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Technology to improve business performance and drive data-based decision making.
• Deliver timely financial reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights to support decision making.
• Conduct profitability, pricing, margin, cost, inventory, and ROI analyses to improve financial and operational performance.
• Support long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and liquidity planning.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory accounting, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and applicable federal, state, local, and international requirements.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, contract review, and legal compliance activities.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and governance practices to safeguard organizational assets
• Oversee treasury and banking relationships.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Manage insurance programs and business risk assessments in partnership with Human Resources.
• Lead the use of business intelligence, ERP, analytics, automation, and AI solutions to enhance decision making and operational efficiency.
• Establish scalable reporting, data governance, and data integrity practices.
• Drive process improvements that streamline financial operations and reduce manual effort.
• Develop cost accounting capabilities and lead financial reviews with department and operational leaders.
• Support pricing strategies, inventory optimization, capital investments, and productivity initiatives.
• Promote financial literacy and accountability throughout the organization.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
• Establish clear goals, accountability, succession plans, and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Operate as a hands-on business leader first and a finance leader second.
• Involved in the daily operations of the company
• Challenge assumptions using data and objective analysis.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and customer-focused thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required, MBA preferred.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading multi-functional finance organizations.
• Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, distribution, or related industry experience preferred.
• Experience supporting high-growth and globally connected organizations preferred.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership and business partnership.

Travel Requirements

• Domestic and international travel as required.
• Participation in leadership meetings, customer engagements, strategic planning sessions, and global finance initiatives.
