Salary: $60,000 to $85,000

Position Overview

Paragon Behavioral Health Connections is seeking a master's-level behavioral health clinician to join our growing community-based behavioral health team. This position offers a diverse clinical role combining outpatient therapy, home and community-based behavioral health services, and Jail Based Behavioral Health Services (JBBS) within the San Miguel County Jail.

The remainder of the clinician's schedule will consist of outpatient therapy, child and family services, community-based behavioral health treatment, crisis follow-up services, and other clinical programming based on organizational needs and clinician expertise.

This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, autonomy, and working across multiple service settings. The clinician will have opportunities to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families while developing expertise in serving justice-involved individuals and individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation.
  • Maintain compliance with agency, payer, and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Support additional community-based behavioral health programming as assigned.

  • Provide approximately 12 hours per week of in-person behavioral health services within the San Miguel County Jail.
  • Conduct mental health and substance use screenings and assessments.
  • Complete GAIN assessments and other JBBS-required documentation.
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments and crisis intervention services.
  • Provide brief individual counseling and therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop individualized treatment and transition plans.
  • Coordinate psychiatric evaluations, medication continuity, and MAT referrals as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with jail staff, medical providers, probation officers, courts, and community treatment providers.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and community reentry coordination.
  • Complete Civicore documentation and JBBS reporting requirements.
  • Participate in JBBS program meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Colorado behavioral health license or license eligibility (LPCC, SWC, LMFTC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, or equivalent).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to provide services in community, home, office, and correctional settings.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Ability to successfully complete CJIS background screening and jail security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing child and family therapy.
  • Experience working in community-based behavioral health programs.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention or crisis stabilization services.
  • Experience working with justice-involved populations.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, are highly valued.

Schedule

This is a full-time position that includes:
