About This Role

The Assistant Teacher collaborates with the Teachers and Director to establish a nurturing environment for children, fostering a culture of care and education. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as the role involves working closely with staff to implement educational programs and build strong relationships with children and their families. Key responsibilities include observing and documenting children's progress, sharing information with parents and staff, and ensuring the development of engaging activities tailored to individual interests and needs.

• Support the design and execution of curricula-based activities, promoting children's active participation.
• Engage in various classroom activities, maintain a clean and organized environment, and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and written progress reports.
• Model healthy behaviors to promote self-help and good hygiene practices in children.
• Facilitate a seamless transition between home and child care center, ensuring a smooth daily routine.
• Comply with all center policies and relevant state regulations.
• Maintain a professional development plan to continually enhance the quality of care and education.

• Must have excellent supervision and interaction skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a positive and collaborative environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A comprehensive understanding of child development principles.
• Effective leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory; candidates can obtain certification within 60 days of starting employment.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and a health screening.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness and daily maintenance.
• A willingness to continually improve and grow professionally.

Possession of a CDA or technical certification is a valuable asset.

CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
