divh2LPN/Surgical Services- Burdett Birth Center/h2pBurdett Birth Center- Troy NY/ppFull Time - Days/ppLPN/Surgical Services/Delivery Room - Burdett Birth Center located in Troy, NY has an opportunity for an LPN to join the team!/ppThe selected LPN will be responsible for, but not limited to:/pulliProviding assistance as first scrub at the surgical table for select procedures/liliCreate and maintain sterile field/liliPrepare operating and labor delivery rooms with appropriate stocking measures./liliMonitors breaks in technique and function, including scrub/gown technique, clean sterile -field and set up sterile field/liliInspects sterile items for contamination before opening, maintains sterility while scrubbed, maintains sterility of instruments and supplies/liliPerformance and documentation of accurate instrument, sponge and needle counts, following established policies and procedures/liliPositioning and transport of patients./liliComplete infant/newborn screens./liliProvide postpartum care to all./li/ulpMinimum requirements:/pulliAbility to work on call and report to work within 30 minutes/li/ulpMust meet one of the following :/pulliNYS LPN license/liliCompleted an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps/li/ulpPreferred requirements:/pulliStrong dexterity and stamina to work on long cases as needed./liliPrioritize quickly a number of different tasks./liliWork and engage with a team to help promote strong teamwork./liliStrong communication skills in a fast-paced work environment/liliCritical thinking skills to help assist the RNs and Surgeons/liliPassion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field/li/ulpPay Range: $25.00 - $31.45/ppPay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
