Associate Attorney – Estate Planning & Residential Real Estate

LoMonaco Law, LLC is a growing boutique law firm in Vernon Hills, Illinois, seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join our team.

Our practice focuses on estate planning, probate, and residential real estate, and we're looking for an attorney who enjoys building client relationships, taking ownership of their files, and becoming an integral part of a close-knit team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful client interaction, hands-on experience, predictable hours, and long-term career growth—without the pressure of billable hour requirements.

What You'll Do

Meet directly with clients and guide them through estate planning and residential real estate matters
Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
Handle residential real estate transactions from contract through closing
Attend closings throughout the Chicagoland area
Communicate regularly with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
Manage files from start to finish with the support of an experienced legal team

What We're Looking For

Illinois-licensed attorney
3–5 years of experience (estate planning and/or residential real estate preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working directly with clients and managing matters independently
Willingness to travel locally for closings
Someone looking to build a long-term career with a growing firm

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000-$125,000 , depending on experience
Performance-based bonus opportunities
15 days of PTO, plus paid holidays
SIMPLE IRA with employer match after two years of employment
Firm-paid attorney registration fees, mandatory CLE, and malpractice insurance
Mileage reimbursement for closings

Please note that this position does not include employer-sponsored health insurance .

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, with local travel required for real estate closings.
