Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and effective time management, ensuring medication safety standards are met.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 39
- Number of Staff: 60
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 on Day Shift, 1:6 on Night Shift
- Type of Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Arjo lifts, Novastat, computers in every room
- EMR: Meditech
Essential Qualifications
- Current RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemotherapy certification
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
Typical Procedures Performed on the Unit
- Administering medications and monitoring patient responses
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans
- Assisting with mobility and personal care needs
- Providing education and support to patients and families

Floating Areas
Potential floating to Surgical/Orthopedic and Rehabilitation units.
Schedule and Requirements
This position requires two weekends of work per month. On-call duties will only occur if patient volume is low.
Dress Code
Scrub Attire: Navy blue scrubs are required.
