Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in San Marcos, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with critical care, PreOp, and Epic experience for a 13-week travel assignment.Details\n \n Post Surgical PACU unit within a hospital setting\n Patient population includes general, ortho, urology, ENT, cath lab, ENDO, GYN, and PEDS cases; no neuro or cardio patients\n 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, with 4x10 schedules accommodated\n Shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM\n Full-time, 13-week assignment\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (TX or Compact)\n Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)\n Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required\n Critical Care, PreOp, and Epic EMR experience required\n BSN preferred\n Perioperative RN Residency or recent OR/Perioperative experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provides nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation\n Administers medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness\n Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided\n Educates patients and families on care needs and available resources\n Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration\n Returning employees must be separated from any CHRISTUS facility for at least 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment\n Temp-to-perm possibility available\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753778.
