Medical Lab Scientist I

Location: Shelton, CT

Assignment Duration: 15 weeks

Potential: Temp-to-hire

Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM ET

Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Must Have: Flow cytometry experience required.

Job Summary

Seeking a Medical Lab Scientist I to work in the Flow Cytometry department. Candidates must have flow cytometry experience and be comfortable performing laboratory testing, analyzing specimens, reviewing results, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, reporting, and recordkeeping.
Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure testing is performed consistently with patient specimens.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred.
Flow cytometry experience required.
Clinical experience in high-complexity testing preferred (minimum 1 year).
Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred.
