Saint Mary's College of California – Nursing – Adjunct Faculty (per‑course) Open Date Mar 02, 2026 Description Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to be assigned instructional work in the Nursing program. The candidate must be approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas. All nursing faculty practice using Maria O’Rourke’s Professional Role model with a primary obligation to “do no harm.” Faculty are expected to be leaders, practitioners, scientists and transferors of knowledge, ensuring the professional role obligations are integrated into teaching and curriculum development. The faculty member is responsible for making role‑driven practice the framework for all activities, including mentoring, curriculum design, teaching, and policy development. Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating instructional work for two clinical sections, maintaining program policies, adhering to accreditation and California Nurse Practice Act standards, and fostering student success with evidence‑based teaching methods. The faculty member reports to the assigned Academic Director. Salary Range $46.55 – $64.43 per hour. Term Dates, Days, and Times To be determined. On‑campus availability is required. Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or BSN with at least three (3) years of experience.
• Approval by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
• Current, unencumbered California RN license.
• Minimum three years of continuous direct patient care experience within the last five years.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Proficiency in using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of undergraduate teaching success in a specialty area.
• Experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
