Surgical Services – Sterile Processing Tech

Schedule: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with scheduled rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details: Contract length and guaranteed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.

Requirements:

• Experience with decontamination of all items, including drills, scopes, and other instruments.
• Assembly of instruments across all service lines, including trauma and loaners.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes, including Sterrad and steam.
• Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing.
• Familiarity with sterile storage protocols.
• OR liaison experience preferred.
• Experience with Censitrac tracking system.
• Medivator experience required.
• Certification from either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and package surgical instruments using appropriate methods.
• Assist in the sterilization of instruments using designated processes.
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
• Provide support and communication with OR personnel as needed.
• Coordinate inventory and storage of sterile supplies and instruments.
