Radiology Tech - Nuclear Medicine Tech

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No weekends or call responsibilities. Assignment duration is 8 weeks.

Independent work in Nuclear Medicine and PET modalities.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an AMA school of Nuclear Medicine.

Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT or CNMT) or board eligible.

Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred.

Experience working independently and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals in line with safety protocols.

Determine appropriate dosage and type of radionuclide under guidance of the Radiologist.

Order, prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for various studies.

Travel and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with the NYS Sanitary Code.

Calculate dosages and maintain accurate records of radiation dosage.

Monitor patient's well-being during exams and provide appropriate care.

Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adequate supply inventory.
