Survey Technician

WHKS is looking for a detailed and technically oriented individual who is passionate about contributing fresh perspectives and creative ideas. As a survey technician, you will collaborate with other surveying and engineering professionals on various survey work throughout the state of Minnesota. This is a full time position with benefits and may include some overnight travel. Responsibilities Include Perform boundary and topographic surveys, platting, and construction staking for various private and public projects. Perform project staking and layout. Complete survey computations. Verify field dimensions and elevations to project plans. Operate survey equipment utilizing GPS, Total Station, and leveling instruments. Perform other survey-related duties primarily in the field. Qualifications Required 0 – 5+ years of field survey and GPS experience. A valid driver’s license. Demonstrated math skills. Excellent computer and communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to manage workload independently. Ability: Perform physical tasks that may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively. Remain in a stationary position and/or move about the work site, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing, for extended periods. Work in varying outdoor weather conditions or environments. Preferred Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Trimble equipment and software. #J-18808-Ljbffr
