Electrical Maintenance Technician

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week Hourly Rate: $31.96 – $38.96 (AFSCME Unified R9) Job Summary: Assists in maintaining County owned buildings, grounds, and equipment to preserve the buildings and to provide a safe and healthy environment for employee and clients. Abilities, Knowledge and Skill Ability to follow both verbal and written directions Ability to read and follow instructions to operate equipment Considerable knowledge of electrical systems and components and at least 4 years of working on said systems Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, access to dependable transportation Principal Duties and Responsibilities Repair and maintain the plumbing, heating, electrical, and air-conditioning systems in county owned buildings Maintain landscaping Perform custodial work as needed Maintain sidewalks i.e., snow and ice removal Maintain exterior of buildings Paint and recondition offices Maintain daily work records Operate power equipment Qualifications / Experience High school graduate or GED. Must have valid driver’s license. Licensed Electrician – 4 years experience. Other Requirements Employment is dependent on background check, criminal history, and drug screen.
