Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR/Surgical Technologist in a high-capacity operating room.
• Experience with high-volume, multidisciplinary surgical teams and familiarity with standard sterile technique, instrument sets, and surgical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work in fast-paced hospital operating room environments, including exposure to varied surgical specialties.
• Client-specific requirement: prior experience in a high capacity operating room is required.
• Preferred: CVOR experience or 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist for cardiac surgical cases.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift pattern: 4x10 or 4x12 day/evening rotation with scheduled evenings being evaluated as primary shift when applicable.
• Typical 4x10 day shifts: 7:00a-5:30p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 9:00a-7:30p Wednesday.
• Typical 4x10 evening shifts: 1:00p-11:00p.
• Typical 4x12 day shifts: 7:00a-7:30p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 9:00a-9:30p Wednesday.
• Typical 4x12 evening shifts: 11:00a-11:00p.
• Schedules include two weeks of nights per contract, at least two short calls each four-week schedule, and weekend coverage. When scheduled on weekends during a 4x10 rotation, shifts may be 12 hours combined with 8-10 hour shifts in the same week to meet contracted hours.
• Must be able to float to other departments within the hospital as needed.
