Lead Clinical Nurse (RN) Permanent Night Shifts with a Weekend Rotation. This role is part of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Progressive Care Unit, a 32‑bed general surgical unit offering Floor, Telemetry, and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) levels. The unit supports IMC patient arrhythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP, bedside bronchoscopy, thoracic surgery (lung resections, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy), trauma, urology (RRP, TURP), and other general surgery patients. Responsibilities Provide guidance and direction to staff, acting as the primary clinical leader in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager. Oversee the clinical team during care delivery and unit operations. Support day‑to‑day operations, including resource utilization and performance management of staff. Assist in development and implementation of unit procedures and conflict‑resolution strategies. Lead initiatives to improve patient care and unit efficiency. Qualifications BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program. Active Maryland or Compact RN license. BLS CPR certification. Minimum 3 years of intermediate‑care or higher‑acuity RN work experience. Strong leadership, conflict‑resolution, resource‑management, and performance‑management skills. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary: $46.57–$72.18 per hour.
