Rental Sales Representative

The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for acting as the front line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to the company's current lease and commercial rental accounts, as well as potential commercial rental customers. This role requires cross‑functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management and demands excellent customer communication skills. Responsibilities Handle sales and the sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation. Execute the business unit's marketing plan. Maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database. Maximize rate opportunities within the marketplace. Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads. Maintain and expand relationships with the existing customer base. Coordinate overall inventory levels to meet customer demand for increased operational effectiveness. Achieve overall market‑share goals by executing sales and marketing initiatives. Oversee the profitability, operations, and asset management of a rental location. Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies. Understand marketplace conditions to maximize utilization of the rental fleet. Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships. Ensure overall satisfaction for all internal and external customers. Reconcile all customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain the ongoing relationship. Build constructive and effective relationships with both internal and external customers. Maintain composure when addressing stressful situations. Clearly articulate Ryder's product and service offerings. Additional Responsibilities Voluntarily perform the role of On‑Call Representative as determined by the Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey verbal and written messages effectively. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. One (1) year or more sales experience required. DOT regulated: No. Compensation and Benefits Pay Type: Hourly – Minimum $21.00, Maximum $22.00Benefits for full‑time positions include medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax‑advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
