The role you'll contribute:

The Respiratory Services Team Leader coordinates and supervises all aspects of Respiratory Therapy in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. Along with department leaders, he/she is responsible for staffing and scheduling team members to provide adequate coverage for provision of care for all patients with pulmonary needs. Develops strong relationships with physicians and other referral sources and ensures compliance with the established pulmonary programs. Maintains open and on-going communications with their leader to ensure patient, staff, and facility needs are met. Maintain ongoing clinical competence requiring regular clinical practice and taking a patient assignment as situations warrant, including assisting Physicians with Bronchoscopies, performing patient transports, and monitoring staff documentation. Must be able to independently function in all clinical areas and patient populations. Appropriate activities include attendance in all department meetings, staff scheduling, and provision of direct patient care.
