Cloud Solutions Architect

Duration 6 Months Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade Azure data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Landing Zones, cloud networking, data platform architecture, security, governance, infrastructure automation, and operational readiness. The Architect will be responsible for developing architecture standards, deployment blueprints, security frameworks, and operational models that support modern analytics, reporting, and data governance initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, including subscriptions, management groups, policies, RBAC, naming conventions, tagging standards, and environment separation strategies Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and operational consistency across Azure environments Network & Connectivity Architecture Design secure network architectures utilizing hub-and-spoke topology, private endpoints, firewalls, ExpressRoute/VPN connectivity, DNS, and routing configurations Enable secure connectivity between Azure services and on-premises environments Microsoft Purview Define enterprise data integration, analytics, and reporting architectures Security & Identity Management Design and implement secure access models using Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure Key Vault. Ensure data protection, identity governance, and secure access patterns across cloud environments Infrastructure Automation & DevOps Create Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment frameworks using Terraform and/or Bicep Define CI/CD deployment strategies, environment promotion processes, and automated infrastructure provisioning standards Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to implement scalable deployment pipelines. Operational Readiness & Support Establish monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, backup/recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and operational support frameworks. Develop operational readiness documentation and support transition activities to production support teams. Ensure platform reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and governance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture Extensive experience designing Azure Landing Zones and enterprise cloud governance frameworks. Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.Deep understanding of Azure identity management, RBAC, Managed Identities, and security best practices.
